"Achtung Spitfire" by Roy Grinnell
In the skies over Britain in mid-August of 1940
Luftwaffe pilots, who shared a common radio frequency
with the RAF, could be heard sounding the warning call,
"Achtung Spitfire'', as RAF Spitfires rose to engage
the approaching German fighters and bombers.
Commemorating the Battle of Britain, Roy Grinnell shows
Spitfires of the 64 Sqdn diving through a formation of
He. 111s as the German bombers approach the airfields and
radar installations along the southeast coast of England.
