Billy Bishop, a Canadian, was the RFC's top scoring WW I.
ace with 72 kills. Flying with No. 60 Squadron, Bishop
chalked up more than 30 victories in the spring of 1917
flying Nieuports. Most of these victories were against
Albatros scouts. Later, Billy would fly the S.E. 5. He
survived the war served with the RCAF as Air Marshal
